Us ready to open presents.
While we were opening presents, Penny was sleeping. She missed all the fun but hopefully she will be into it next year.
We had a lot of fun and got a bunch of awesome things.

This weeks Stoney's mom came to visit and it was so nice having her here. She finally has a little girl to spoil.

My mom was able to come for 2 weeks. It was great having her here and she was a super help. She went home yesterday and we miss her already. We mostly took pictures of Penny but we did get Gammy in some shots.

I know Christmas is next week. But I don't think she is going to fit into these jammies by then. They are super cute and comfy so I wanted her to wear them at least once.
And today Penny scratched her face big time. I did file here nails today, I was just to late. 
Our day started bright and early. We arrived at the hospital at 5:30am and I got hooked up to all the machines. I was dialated to 3 and 70% effaced. 
At noon the nurse checked me and I was at 7cm. At 1pm she checked and I was 10cm!! But the baby was face up so my doctor said lets wait 30mins before we start pushing to see if she turns. Sure enough she had turned and the nurses started to get things ready. At 1:45pm I really started pushing. 20 minutes later Penny made her debut!!
She was born December 3, 2009 at 2:05pm.
We were instantly in love and mostly cried the whole time!! We just couldn't believe she was finally here. It is such a neat feeling when a new baby comes into the world. Heaven felt so close.

She got a bath and came back ready for Christmas.
When we arrived they said we would have to stay for 48 hours cuz I was strep B positive. And they like to watch mom and baby a day longer. But the doctors said me and Penny were looking great and that if we wanted to go home on Friday instead of Saturday we could. So I was feeling pretty good and was ready to take my baby home.
We had a rough night last night, but she is still new and getting used to things and so are we. Stoney has been an awesome help and I am so glad my mom is here to help too. Today has been good. She mostly only cries when we change her diaper and when she can't get anything out when nursing. She likes to be swaddled and loves to cuddle. She got a bath earlier and now smells wonderful.
So far she is a keeper!!
