August in AZ

Penny and I had so much fun in Arizona. We were there for about 2 1/2 weeks and we loved every minute. We did miss Stoney but he was so busy starting school while we were away that we would have hardly seen him if we were home.

Penny, as usual, took her spot as center of attention.

While we are there she figured out that crawling has a purpose and that purpose is to get somewhere and get something. She was all over the place and pulling up on everything and wanting to know what everyone was doing and what they had in their hand, etc....She is one busy girl!!

She got reacquainted with everyone. I think Whitney made her a bit nervous cuz if someone made her cry it was Whit and she always gave the mean face (pictured above) to Whitney.

She learned what kisses were and how to give them. Blake always got kisses, everyone else was hit or miss.

She had lots of fun with Papa and Grammy.

They really love their Penny.

We also had bad hair days.

Played dress up.

Did lots and lots of shopping. Penny is one good shopper.

We met Chief, he was so nice and content, but Penny just didn't like him.

She took lots of in the diaper naps.

We did lots and lots of swimming and put on lot and lots of sunscreen.

The first time it made her nervous but after that she loved it. She loved the floaty, sitting on the step, splashing. She probably could have stayed in most of the day.

I did have swim diapers but since we were in a small pool we didn't use one and now we know how much water pampers really can hold!

We tested out the splash park and she hated it! She was just fine sitting next to me at the table but as soon as I put her by the water she would cry. Maybe next time.

We did lots and lots and lots of playing!!!

We had so much fun thanks family and friends. We can't wait for our next fun filled visit!!

Crawling

8 Months

Penny has learn the power of intimidation!! She has been making this face all day and we have been cracking up. She is so fun and if you haven't heard she is now a crawler. She hasn't figured out that she can cruise all around the house yet but she will go like 5 feet to get her toy or get to us.

>Penny weighs just under 23 lbs, she is still our chunky monkey, and is about 27 inches long.
