Gingerbread Fun 2012

Grandma Jones always has a get together at her house to start off the Christmas season. I haven't been in awhile and this was Penny and Ava's first time. In the past each family has brought cookies and then we decorate and eat and have fun. This year Gma got gingerbread houses and gingerbread men and gingerbread christmas trees. It was so fun and I think we should do gingerbread things everytime. Everyone brought candy and things to share for decorating. Penny and I did a gingerbread house and then Penny did 2 gingerbread men. It was fun to decorate and have family together and of course eat treats!!
Ava, as usual, looked adorable watching from the couch.
It was so fun to see everyone's finished product and she how different and creative everyone was.
Penny did such an awesome job on her gingerbread men.
Whitney and Chad's finished property.
I had a lot of fun making mine. Penny was a wonderful assistant and did an excellent job squeezing the frosting and sticking candy on. I don't mean to brag but I love how my roof turned out!!

Thanksgiving 2012

This year the girls and I spent Thanksgiving with the Julander side and some of my mom's family. We had so much fun and the had a blast playing with cousins and getting lots of attention. Dinner, of course, was delicious and I was so stuffed!! Penny ate some but then once one kid was done she wanted to join in. Ava slept right through her first Thanksgiving meal, but I am sure next year she will enjoy it more cuz then she can actually eat the food.
We got a bunch of generation pictures.
Great Grandpa Julander, Ava, Meghan, Penny, Papa
Great Grandma Jones, Grammy, Penny, Meghan, Ava
Great Gpa and Gma Jones, Penny, Grammy, Meghan, Ava

Grandpa Julander with all his granddaughters and great granddaughters.
After all the picture taking when we got home I realized that I hadn't taken a picture of just the girls. They were good sports after such a long, exciting day.

Zoo Adventure

Ok I think I love the zoo now. We picked a prefect day to go, we saw a lot of animals and fun things, had a good lunch, walked, laughed and the girls fell asleep on the drive home. Penny had a wonderful time and did really well walking by herself around most of the zoo and if you have ever been to the Phx Zoo you know she did a good job, cuz it's big!!
I think Penny liked the animal statues the best. She could actually name most of the statues we found.
Uncle Chad took Penny into the petting zoo and these two probably could have stayed there all day long.
She was so excited that she  got to milk the cow.
We had a close incounter with a huge pelican, but Penny wasn't scared at all. Whitney was the one freakin out!!
When Jane needed a break from her carseat and Penny took her spot.
Penny made friends with some cowboys.
We learn what it would be like to be a baby hornbill.
Found some more statues.
Caught this adorable little monkey!
We all had such a fun day and thank goodness for all the statues cuz it helped Penny have fun and learn and actually mingle with the animals!!

Quading

I love going quading and I haven't been in quite awhile. I was so excited when we decided to go. The weather was great and the girls had a blast.
Jane was stylin in her glasses.
Penny had a freakin blast!!! She didn't want to stop and would ride with anyone and everyone.
Ava enjoyed her 1st ride. We went in a little circle cuz it was a little windy for her.
Of course we all had to take our turn jumping.
Chad won!!!
And you can't go quading without shooting. Penny did really well her first time but definately needs some practice cuz after 2 shots she was looking sideways and behind her. I did really well too, hit a bottle on my 1st shot that my Dad or Chad couldn't get on their whole round!!
