Christmas 2012

We  really enjoyed Christmas this year. Penny was so excited and Ava celebrated her 1st. We got spoiled with awesome stuff, we had fun and laughed, ate and slept. Great holiday spent with family we love and thinking and praying for family we missed.
Christmas Sunday was wonderful. Full of my favorite songs and the true spirit of Christmas. The girls looked so adorable in their Christmas dresses.

Soon it was Christmas Eve and everyone was excited and restless. Penny is starting to understand what happens on Christmas Eve and she couldn't wait for night time. We had a fun day playing and getting ready for our big dinner, which, as always, was so delicious!!

While the girls were nestled all sung in their beds, Santa came and brought some great stuff.
Christmas morning I heard Penny waking up and went into her room to say good morning and Merry Christmas. She always wakes up happy but her normal routine is to watch a show and eat breakfast. So after good mornings were said and kisses were given she asked for a show. I tried to change the subject and get her to come into the front room with me but she didn't want too. After several tries I said I think there's a surprise...That did it, she loves surprises. She could hardly believe her eyes when she saw all the new toys and new presents. She was so stinkin excited for her kitchen and was playing with it right away. Once Ava woke up I wanted to get some pictures but Penny could hardly sit still. She was one excited and happy girl and since she just had her birthday she knew what presents were and couldn't wait to get them open.

This were Penny spent half her day.

Santa found these great Mike and Sully friends to match their Mike and Sully costumes!!
The opening begins and seemed like it went on forever. We all got spoiled with toys, clothes, jewelry, toys, movies, books, accessories, puzzles, games, and more toys. We thank everyone for their love and generous and thoughtful gifts.

Then after everything was unwrapped it was time to open boxes and put toys together.  Toys and books and puzzles and everything else was played with for hours.

Ava had a great 1st Christmas. She did miss some excitement cuz the girl love her naps. But she had fun and enjoyed the toys and paper.

Penny's Christmas started great but didn't end so well. The poor girl was sick in bed with the flu by dinner time. At least she got to open presents and play for a little, she just couldn't enjoy her present again until the new year.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our loved ones!!

Santa Visit 2012

Well this was our 2nd attempt to see Santa. The 1st time was a disaster, we got to the front of the line and Penny lost it. She clung to me and would not let go.
This time I think it went very well. Penny was so excited to see him and talk to him. Ava only cried well he was holding her, but in her defense she was getting tired. Penny told him she wanted roller skates, which is something I heard for the first time today. He even gave her a candy cane!
Merry Christmas

Ava 7 Months

Baby Ava, you are the cutest. You are sweet and love to be held and talk to. You can now sit and play and are attempting to get more mobile. You still don't care to roll around. You are starting to lean forward while sitting and attempt to pull yourself. Or you push back against something and then turn making yourself fall over or push your face into what you're leaning against. If I hold your hands you can pull yourself to standing but slowly. When standing you try holding onto things, like the bed, couch, or toy box. You splash in the bath and get so excited to be naked. You laugh more frequently and are always smiling. You love to be outside and love riding in the stroller. You love love love to eat.  You get so excited and impatient when you see me getting food ready. You eat 2 jars of baby food in the morning and at night. You get very sad and cry when it is gone. You can grab your snacks and put them into your mouth. You try to grab everything and it impossible to type to text while holding you. You still love Penny and light up when she is around. You have now officially found your voice and often talk while I'm trying to watch a show or when it's time to be quite in church. You blow raspberries and spit bubbles. You snore and make dreaming noises in your sleep. You are a mommas girl and now cry when you notice when we're around other people and I'm talking and not holding you. You love to cuddle and I love it too. You give big slobbery kisses and it hits when you bite my chin or cheek and your don't have any teeth. The birth mark on your head has really started to fade and is now flat. You have a fake cry and use it when you want to be picked up and it works because nobody can resist. I love you so much by sweet baby.

Penny 3 Years Old

Oh Penny girl, what can I say about you. I love you so very much. You have such a strong, love, fun personality. You can be sweet one minute and then have attitude the next. Everyone loves you. You are so friendly and love to talk. You are a great help and you listen really well. You still love to read books and know most of the stories, so you do pretty well reading them to yourself. You love watching tv and now have memorized little saying from Tangled or Sofia the First or cartoons. You are very into makeup and fixing hair and dressing up. You love to take showers instead of baths. You are tech savy and know how to open my phone and play games. You like to play doctor and give check-ups to anyone or to babies/stuffed animals. You have mastered puzzles and can do most of the ones we have all by yourself. You love to play with dishes and have parties. You love to be outside and could run around or play at the park all day and all night. You still love your blanket and need to have it in the car and now you also need to have a baby in the car. You have become independent and want to try everything yourself first, buckling your carseat, getting dressed, showering, brushing teeth, etc. You have become a very good momma while watching me take care of Ava. You feed and burp and cuddle your babies. You love animals and know what most of them are in books or on tv. You have a great memory and always notice when something is different or out of place. You are a picky eater and love short and long noddles, cereal, rice, peas, green beans, bread, milk, juice, corn dogs, chicken nuggets. You are always wanting and trying to help cook, do laundry, sweep/clean, fold clothes. You love your sister Ava and you are a wonderful big sister. You always tell me when she is crying and always want to see her poopy diapers. You are always trying to make her smile or laugh. You love to run around in your underwear or naked. You always tell me when you have to go to the bathroom and when you poop not to come in cuz it will be really stinky. You have a beautiful dimples and eye lashes. You love to play games and you're really good at finding the match. You can be whinney, have attitude or scream really loud. You say the funniest things and I have had to start a book so we can remember them.
You are a sweet, loving, smart, funny and kind. I am so grateful everday that I get to be your mom.
I love you!
Making birthday waffles.
Penny got one candle in her waffle and had fun getting another chance to blow out candles.
She has been requesting a bike for about a year now and I always said maybe for you birthday. Well she remembered and now has a cute pink bike. She is still practicing but so far loves it.
One more time singing and blowing out candles.
It has been so wonderful to watch you grow and become a little girl. You are so special and such a wonderful blessing to everyone in your life.
